Reuse tips
Surrey residents are a green fingered bunch and they have sent in some great tips on how to reuse a whole range of unwanted things!
* "Old Christmas and birthday cards can be used to make present tags or even new cards" Kate, Epsom
* "Buy books from charity shops and then take them back again, the books are reused and raise money for a good cause" Ally, Redhill
* "Empty glass jars make great candle holders, especially if you are out in the garden over the summer months" Toni, Brockham
* "Unwanted or unusable cds make great coasters or candle plates!" Sarah, Walton
* "I reuse all my old margarine tubs, they are everywhere in my house! I reuse them all the time e.g. putting children's hama beads in once the box is open, putting children's paints in when they are painting a picture, freezing portions of food that are spare, putting seeds in for next year's crops, keeping hubby's screws in, growing cress in them, giving small cakes/portions of food to friends and that is just a few of the current uses! I always keep a supply of them to hand and now couldn't do without them." Karon Sewell
