Buying Compost and Soil Improver Made from Garden Waste

Ever wondered how to get your hands on compost or soil conditioner made from recycled garden waste?

A guide has been designed by the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) on the outlets for recycled green waste

Currently residents cannot directly purchase compost or soil improver made from the green waste they bring to the Community Recycling Centres or leave out to be collected by their council. 

Some of the outlets listed in the guide above source their recycled garden waste products from reprocessors such as the ones used by Surrey Waste Management, (who run the Community Recycling Centres on behalf of Surrey County Council) and your local council. However we do not know where the reprocessors used by SWM or your local council sell their end product to.

We are looking into making soil improver available to residents and will up date this webpage once such a scheme is developed.
