Welcome to Surrey's redesigned SwapXchange
The idea of a SwapXchange is simple. You can offer any unwanted items from your home or business to others who may have use for them. You can ask for items in return or swap for a service such as help for your garden. Or you could just give them away as you no longer need them. You don't have to have something to swap.
You can ask for items in our 'wanted' section, if you are looking for something in particular. All over Surrey people are swapping computers for garden tools and sofas for dog walking!
All items are put on the site for free and all items advertised are free or for swapping. Nothing is for sale.
To get started register a new account now.
Go either to the Items Offered or Items Wanted boards via the links on the right hand column and click 'register a new account'
This will ask for your name and the contact details you want to use for any ads you place.
You'll be emailed a password to log in. If you do not receive this email within 15 minutes, please check your spam box as it might have been diverted by your spam filtering software.
You only need do this once.
After you've registered, you'll be able to log in and place further ads at any time.
Once you've logged in, click the Place an Advert button in either the Items Offered or Items Wanted boards.
Answer a few questions about the item and what you're willing to exchange it for.
Your ad will then be sent to the site moderators, and you'll be informed as soon as it's appeared on the site.
When you have swapped or given away your item or simply want to remove your advert from the site, log in, click on your advert and then click 'Delete this message'. Your advert will be removed from the site immediately.
Adverts that are not removed will be automatically deleted after three months.
There are SwapXchange sites setting up all over the UK to help everyone recognise the opportunities of swapping! It's a fun and different way for people to 'do their bit' for reuse and recycling. Why bin it when you can swap it?
