Pasta bake surprise
Ingredients:
- 200 grams of pasta of your choice (if using fettucine or spaghetti, break into smaller pieces)
- Single cream
- Ham or bacon (or whatever other meat you have) cut up in to small pieces
- Diced vegetables (but not leafy greens)
- Cheese of your choice (that will melt)
Method:
1. Cook the pasta in water until just tender. Do not overcook.
2. Mix pasta, meat, veg and cream together with some grated cheddar. The mixture should be slightly wet.
3. If the mixture is too dry, add a little bit of milk, if too wet, add more cheese.
4. Pour mixture into baking dish and cover with more cheese.
5. Bake in oven on 180ºC for 35mins or until cheese is golden.
Notes:
- Make sure you use cheese that will melt.
- You can toss just about anything into the mixture, any meat or vegetable. Pieces should be cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Baking times will vary depending of type of oven.
