Love your leftovers
Food is one of the most common items found in our bins. WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) estimate that one third of all food bought is thrown away. Thatīs an annual national cost of Ģ8billion, or about Ģ400 per household.
The fact is a lot of this food is still edible when it goes into the bin. By making a few simple changes, itīs easy to minimise the amount of food that ends up in landfill. See our food reduction hints for tips on how to avoid over-buying.
There will always be some amount of food leftover from meals at some point. But this does not need to go straight into the bin either. Itīs easy to create something new and exciting with your leftovers - and itīs not just meal ideas. Click here to find see some fantastic beauty home remedies.
